Sea Glass 9/4/12
We spent last evening at the beach. I will take soggy air and hurricanes in exchange for a few evenings at our beautiful beach. I took a walk along the water looking for shells. When I got back to base, I mentioned to Jojo, the severe lack of sea glass on the beaches these days. I blame the Prius drivers who have stopped throwing bottles out of car windows, oh, and that crying Indian from my childhood. When I look for sea glass, I think of Sue. It’s a happy reminder, every time I find a piece. So, the kids ran in and out of the ocean. We ate sandy pizza. The sun sank lower and lower in the sky. I scanned the near beach, one last time and found some beautiful green glass and I smiled.
